bingyahoogoogle

A recent comScore report shows both Bing and Google gaining market share in the US at the expense of Yahoo. Recent investment from Microsoft seems to be paying dividends for the Bing platform, with a gain of 40 basis points. Google gained a slight increase.
Yahoo will be disappointed with the latest results considering the recent developments for their in house search facility. The new Search Pad tool and a host of marketing activity has done little to improve market share. Google on the other hand will be delighted with the news. Their recent troubles with the Chinese censorship row and a possible pull out have been forgotten for the time being with these latest stats. It sees Google up to a 65.7% share of the search engine market, it’s highest ever position. Bing will look to push further and expand their exposure to users across the US and Europoe foremost.

Approaching a potential client with a report that suggests they need, along with other things, a Twitter and Facebook page is often met with scepticism. With yesterdays sad news of the passing of Brittany Murphy, this new technology has again been criticised for the lack of censorship regrading the content on offer. Some of the results on offer from a search for this late actresses name reveal some unsavoury comments, although most appear to be based on condolences. The problem being they could contain anything.
