Top SEO

Because of the nature of the search engines and how they rank a website, Top SEO is a faltering science. Through innovation and developments, the way to get to the top of the major search providers and stay there is a lifelong learning process- as are many forms of business and technical applications.

To stay top of the SEO tree there are a number of ways in which an organisation or individual can be pro-active. One thing that we know will never change is the need for new content and consistent updating of products and services, plus new and blog. But besides this requirement, what else changes so that we need to keep learning and improving our SEO techniques?

If we are asked to give examples from the last 5 years on how Top SEO firms have management to maintain the traffic and rankings they have achieved, there are a few key points that spring to mind.

Social Networking
That’s right, think back five years and had you heard of Twitter? Doubt it. Now everyone has jumped on the bandwagon and it’s pretty much a necessity at the minute to get a good Twitter profile and 1000 followers. It’s powerful and free to use.

Meta Keywords
So every so called ‘Top SEO’ company spends a huge amount of time doing keyword research, making sure the meta for every landing page is immaculate for the robots to index. Hours of analysing thousands of Meta keywords, then selecting the most appropriate ones for each targeted page. Then Google (through Matt Cutts) announces that they don’t add any weight to these Meta keywords, just the title tag and Meta description from the header get weighting. This is an example of how exposed we are to the search providers, and much of SEO is tried and tested guess work.

No matter what we see with improvement s and changes in the search engine layout, design, content and SEO variables, one thing will always remain- hard work. The one thing that comes as a result of the shifting focus for optimisation implementation is hard work and patience. Results will always take time to achieve and Top SEO will always involve painstaking processes to show that your target site is the most relevant for a key phrase.
