Squidoo Lense SEO

If you haven’t heard of Squidoo just yet, it’s wrth having a look and creating your own profile. Squidoo is a kind of business, blog or personal flyer which represents whatever you like. For businesses, you have the opportunity to present your services in your own way, which in time can drive traffic (and hopefully sales) your way.

The page you creat on Squidoo is not a profile, they term it a ‘lense’. It’s an insight into a topic which is maintained by you, the creator. There are plenty of useful plugins on Squidoo lenses, including automated feeds which show updates from other profiles like Twitter.

Other ways in which you can create content are RSS feeds from your blog, text blocks where you can create any section of information you like, and there is even the chance to add Google Adsense to the lense, to generate some income for the hard work you have put in.

Unfortunately the links are marked “no follow”, but over time the page can get a good position for your chosen key phrases, so it’s worth half an hour to get one up and running. Best practice methods say you should try to update it every now and then to keep the search engines and viewers interested.
